Ingredients:
Yields 14
Takes 10 minutes total
Ingredients:
1 cup gluten free oats
1 cup walnuts, almonds or other nut
â…“ heaping cup cocoa, cacao or chocolate protein powder
1 ½ heaping tbsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp ground flaxseed or ground chia seeds
1 tsp maca powder (optional)
½ cup nut butter of choice
1 tbsp coconut oil or butter (optional)
1 tbsp vanilla
few dashes of sea salt
Instructions:
1. In your food processor, add the walnuts and the oats. Grind until it is close to a flour consistency.
2. Add: cocoa/cacao powder, cinnamon, sea salt, maca powder, flaxseed. Pulse until combined.
3. Add the nut butter, coconut butter or oil and the vanilla. Blend until well incorporated. Two things: If the dough isn't sticking together, add more peanut butter. Second, if you want a deeper chocolate and cinnamon taste, add more! I added a few more shakes of each.
4. Roll them into bites. Dust them with cinnamon and roll them into the cocoa powder. Store them in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or the freezer for longer.
